The Harbourfront: lake views and a downtown address

The Harbourfront runs along Queens Quay West, from Bathurst Quay and HTO Park toward the foot of York Street. The Martin Goodman Trail and the lake are out your front door, Harbourfront Centre is close by, and Union Station and the PATH are a walk or short streetcar ride away. The stock is mostly towers: older buildings that tend to have larger suites, and newer ones with more amenities.

My first check on any view unit is what is built, approved or proposed between the building and the water. A view you paid for and later lost is an expensive amenity. I also compare fees with the amenities you will actually use, look at how many units in the building are rented, and check layout efficiency, since newer suites have become smaller. Plenty of supply can help you when you buy and means more competition when you sell, so a unit that stands out is worth the extra search.
