Liberty Village: the first-purchase neighbourhood, done right

Liberty Village fits the way many first-time buyers already live: suites that work for working from home, the King streetcar and Exhibition GO station close by, groceries and gyms inside the neighbourhood, and a footprint you can walk end to end in about fifteen minutes. It sits between King Street West and the Gardiner, from Strachan Avenue to Dufferin Street.

I will not rank buildings on a public page, but the stock falls into two groups, early-2000s mid-rises and newer towers from the late 2000s and 2010s, and they behave differently on fees, layouts and rental turnover. A one-plus-den can be good value for a first purchase, as long as the den is truly usable. My rule for first-time buyers: buy the layout and the building, not the staging. Because so many units here are similar, yours needs something that sets it apart at resale, such as the floor, exposure, layout or parking.
